WELCOME
Main Street Vero Beach has been through a year of transition in 2024. In 2025 with a strong board, skilled volunteers, and supportive City Council, we look forward to putting our time and resources to work to enhance our historic downtown and benefit the small businesses and property owners who have invested THEIR time and resources in our community.

We've already started...
DownTown is looking brighter already!
If you visit 14th Ave. at Pocohantas Park after dark, you should be able to see first had the first 3 oak trees we've had professionally wrapped thanks to our friends at Shack Shine.
We are working in alignment with the City Council, and also Vero Beach Public Works to ensure our lighting plan for the "walkable core" works with additional up-keep plans by the city.
Taking a pic?
If you take a pic of the trees downtown, please tag Main Street Vero Beach on either Facebook or Instagram so we can re-share it!

Statement of Intent, 2025
Statement of Intent
Main Street Vero Beach, February, 2025
Main Street Vero Beach is committed to fostering a thriving, accessible, and aesthetically inviting downtown in collaboration with the City Council, downtown property owners, and business owners. Our mission is to enhance the vibrancy of our community by prioritizing lighting and beautification efforts that create a safe and welcoming environment for residents and visitors alike.
To achieve this, we intend to offer downtown stakeholders the opportunity to participate in an informal Business Improvement District (BID). Unlike a formal BID—where at least 60% of property owners must contribute funds managed by the municipality—this informal BID provides a flexible, voluntary approach. There is no required minimum participation, and contributions will be allocated directly to specific improvement projects.
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, all contributions made to Main Street Vero Beach will be tax-deductible, making it easier for stakeholders, businesses, and private citizens to support these initiatives. Additionally, we will actively pursue grant funding through the National Main Street Program, leveraging these funds as matching contributions to maximize impact. Based on individual projects, we will also solicit private donations from the public, which will likewise be tax-deductible.
Our first major initiative focuses on decorative lighting within the walkable downtown core and potted landscaping, undertaken in partnership with our City Council and local artists. This project serves as a foundation for a more inviting and pedestrian-friendly downtown, reflecting our collective vision for a brighter, more beautiful Vero Beach.
We look forward to working hand-in-hand with our community to bring these enhancements to life and to ensure the long-term success and vibrancy of downtown Vero Beach.
